Abstract


With the development of economy, the internationalized level becomes higher.Tourism is the link which exists among the countries all over the world. It plays avery important role in cultural exchanging and friendship strengthening. This thesis isa research report on the scenic spot introduction to Changbai Mountain. The aim ofthis research report is to improve the author’s vocabulary and translation ability andattract many more foreign tourists.The important and difficult points of this research report are how to deal with thecultural information, the verses and the four-character structures in the original text.The introspective method, the relevant translation theories and strategies are used toanalyze tourism materials. Its purpose is to sum up some problems and solutionsduring the translation process, and then accumulate some useful experience.This translation research report consists of five chapters. The first Chapter tellsabout the background information of tourism translation material of ChangbaiMountain and the importance of this research report. Chapter Two sketches thetranslation process and the relevant translation theories and methods involved. Itanalyzes the original tourism translation material, including the content, the languagestyle and characteristics and then sums up some rules that should be paid muchattention to in Chapter Three. Chapter Four takes advantage of translation methodsand the typical examples to analyze the target translation and makes reflection onsome major aspects. The last Chapter focuses on the experience and the shortcomingsof this translation research report. Later it makes a summary and puts forward someinstructive suggestions for the future similar translation materials.
