Abstract


Don Barthelme is the father of post-modern novel in the United States. His masterpiece \People are usually from a postmodern perspective to analyze and evaluate the novel, few learn this novel Bakhtin's carnival poetry to establish contact. This paper attempts to re-interpretation of Bakhtin's carnival theory, and explore its profound implication Carnival Spirit.
