Abstract


With the implementation of the "open education" of the United States and other countries, as well as the transition of our higher education from elite education to public education, in2003, the Ministry of National Education put forward Top Quality Course Construction Project, and issued the " an notice about starting top quality course construction work of college teaching quality and reform project." since then, various colleges and universities have been actively involved in the top quality course construction project, and have achieved fruitful results, and gradually formed a system of top quality courses in the national, provincial, and university level.more and more study on the construction of top quality courses has come out, but rarely about the research of a certain college curriculum construction and application. This thesis is focused on the case of Hubei University of Economics. From the investigation and research of top quality course construction and application in Hubei University of Economics, we can understand the implementation of top quality course construction projects in recent years in Hubei University of Economics. Through thinking about the advantages and disadvantages of local institutions, such as Hubei University of Economics during the construction of top quality courses, as well as how to make full use of their strengths and overcome its drawbacks, we can provide reference materials for the construction of top quality courses for similar institutions.This thesis has four chapters, the first chapter is the introduction, which introduces research background, the purpose and significance of research, content and methods, as well as some related concepts explaining. Chapter Ⅱ is about the research and investigation of top quality course construction in Hubei University of Economics, the disvovery of advantages and problems in the process of construction, and proposition of appropriate improvement strategies to solve the problems. The third chapter is mainly the research and investigation on the application of top quality courses in Hubei University of Economics. The questionnaires were designed for teachers and students of Hubei University of Economics, to know the current situation of their applying of built top quality courses, finally to identify the problems in applications of top quality courses in Hubei University of Economics and propose appropriate improvement strategies. The fourth chapter summarizes the conclusions and deficiencies of this thesis, and look forward to the future research work.
