Abstract


Internet culture reflects the social reality, as a cultural pattern, it has great impacts, influences and penetrations on the current and future productions and lives of human beings. With the rapid development of China’s Internet industry, college students of high-quality having a limitless desire on new technology and new things, they become the main force of China’s Internet population.College life is the last period of youth socialization, college students’ social goals depends upon a certain channel and means of socialization, family, school, peer groups, mass media, network and so on, they all influence the process of socialization of young people. With the development of information technology, information era is coming. As the Internet’s most active groups of university students, who are encountered by the profound impact of Internet culture. Network as a new medium, with high information content, fast, open, virtual and other characteristics, it has enriched the cultural life of college students. It has broadened the students’ideas and vision, it provides a new space for the comprehensive development of students, it is good to promote the positive development of personality of students, but also affects the way of thinking, behavior, values of students, and some students create personality deviation or distortion.Personality is shown by a person’s stable mental outlook, with a certain tendency of psychological characteristics. The students who have the perfect personality are related to the future of the country and national revitalization. In order to build a harmonious society and a happy life, the tasks and responsibilities of universities are developing socialist with compound talents. How to use the advantages of network culture to shape the positive sound personality of students, and how to overcome the personality deviation of indulging in network effectively, these become an urgent task of the current moral education. Students as the major groups of the current Internet users who need proper guidance and education. Therefore, making good use of network culture guides students to form healthy personality, which has important practical and long-term significance.This thesis first analyses the connotation, characteristics and functions of the network culture, then summarizes our experiences and character education, approaches that we can further explore and learn from the West and contemporary character education ideas and experiences; explores and points out the relationship between the Internet culture and character education, uses features and functions of network culture, as an important way for character education, and then discusses the importance of students’character education in network environment; uses the Marxist world outlook and methodology, makes some possible methods to provide references for college moral education in the Internet age.
