Abstract


Modern logistics is one of the regional arteries of economic activity, supporting people’s production activities, consumption activities and trading activities. It’s an accelerator which pulling a country or region an important source of its economic growth of economic development. The development of regional logistics has become a measure of the degree of modernization of a region and an important sign of economic strength and regional governments are increasingly attach importance to the development of logistics industry. Development of the logistics industry, both to play a regional advantage for maintaining the characteristics of extended economic growth, and implement the national strategic plan is to drive off an important step in the hinterland of Northeast China. It’s impartment for the area has a clear advantage and excellent resource endowment for Liaoning coastal economic zone. Liaoning coastal economic zone has a long way to go with the development of logistics industry.This study researches the modern logistics industry development of Liaoning coastal economic zone for regional economic growth discussed from the current situation at home and abroad, based on regional economics, industry economics and the basic theory of econometrics. Firstly, qualitative analysis for the inherent mechanism of the logistics industry development role in promoting economic growth are showed based on a brief description of the logistics industry and the theory of economic growth to provide a theoretical basis for the development of logistics industry of Liaoning coastal economic zone. Secondly, competitive is analyzed through the development of logistics industry major cities within the region and inter-regional. The problems and reasons to the development of logistics industry of Liaoning coastal economic zone are found in order to provide realistic basis for the development of logistics industry Liaoning coastal economic zone. Moreover, the Cobb-Douglas production function is expanded base on analyzing the impact of logistics on the mechanism of economic growth and variable of logistics is added for the factors of affecting economic growth. Econometric models are constructed based on time series analysis, and the cointegration equation is got by the economic growth as the dependent variable. Further quantitative analysis of the logistics industry added value and employment and the relationship between investment in fixed assets is given, and study the development of the logistics industry mechanism for economic growth. The results show that the logistics industry in development contribution to economic growth of Liaoning coastal economic zone development is relatively high. Finally, policy recommendations are proposed based on the findings of research and logistics industry development of Liaoning coastal economic zone in order to speed up the development of the logistics industry.
