Abstract


With the rapid development of manufacturing industry and the ever-changing market environment, reducing the production cost is no longer the only focus of manufacture enterprise on improvements, and how to shorten the production cycle, response to customers’needs quickly has also become the goal of the advanced manufacturing enterprise.In order to help production managers to identify and eliminate the whole production process (including raw material supply and products delivery to customers hand), based on theory about lean thinking, the paper applies value stream map, kanban management, industrial engineering related methods, to discuss the whole production process (including raw material supply and products delivery to customers hand) of SM6series products in company M, the main research contents are as follows:Draws value current state and future state of one manufacturing enterprise SM6product family, it analyses the value stream mapping of the whole process of SM6series products, finds wastes hidden in the process and the non-value-added activities, and then uses industrial engineering "ECRS principle" and "5W2H principle" to adjust new production planning table, including the analysis and evaluation of the production process, production line layout and other aspects, then, will improve the working process further and set up a new production line, achieving pull mode of production(just-in-time production) with kanban management, and clear non-value added waste, such as reducing excess production, in products and finished goods inventory and discontinuous logistics, shortens product production cycle time and improves production efficiency, and finally achieves just-in-time manufacturing mode-quickly response to the requirements of customer. With shortened product production cycle, it also eliminate excess production about the products or finished goods, reduce inventory waste, and save labor cost, realize the "5S" management mode effectively, the successful application of pull mode of production in the SM6series products has set an example in implementing lean activities for the company other series products and most other manufacturing enterprise, also it has a significance guiding for lean thinking used in Chinese manufacturing enterprise and other industries.
