Clinical Significance of Plasma Adiponectin Level in the Patients with Gastric Cancer

Abstract


Objective: To investigate patients with gastric cancer plasma adiponectin and serum of three tumor markers the matter CEA , CA125 , CA199 level changes and its clinical significance . Methods: selected 40 patients with gastric cancer ( GC group ) and 18 healthy subjects (control group) , enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay ( ELISA ) and electrochemiluminescence immunoassay ( ECLIA ) in plasma adiponectin and serum tumor markers the matter CEA , CA125 , CA199 level . Using receiver operating characteristic curve ( ROC ) and area under the curve ( AUC ) to evaluate the diagnostic value of each index in gastric and calculate the optimum threshold . Adiponectin and CEA , CA125 , CA199 three clinical more mature tumor markers in correlation analysis . Results: The median gastric plasma adiponectin levels 7.54ug/ml significantly lower than the control group, the median ( 13.59ug/ml ) , the difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( P lt ; 0.05 ) ; gastric cancer group and the control group, serum tumor markers CEA, CA125 and CA199 difference was statistically significant . Plasma adiponectin and serum tumor markers CEA , CA125 , CA199 , the area under ROC curve , to the the plasma adiponectin highest 0.73 , I turn CEA for 0.70 the CA125 to 0.70 , the CA199 is 0.64 , but the four curve area there is no significant difference ( P gt ; 0.05 ) . Correlation analysis showed no correlation between plasma adiponectin and three tumor markers ( P gt ; 0.05 ) Conclusion: the plasma adiponectin For the diagnosis of gastric cancer with good judgment value ; patients with gastric cancer in plasma adiponectin levels were significantly decreased , and the incidence of gastric cancer was negatively correlated with plasma concentrations of adiponectin decreased incidence of gastric cancer risk factors ; adiponectin factors may have a tumor suppressor role .
