Abstract


This article introduced the history and development of universal machine gun and studied the operational principle of5.8mm universal machine gun. Human dynamic model which can describe the relations of body interior movement was built. The simple body was given mass and joint constraints which can provide the preparation for the study of machine gun.Gunpowder gas pressure was obtained which solved the mathematical model based on pneumodynamics and interior ballistics. Breech pressure and gas chamber pressure changing with time could be obtained based on the numerical calculation of MatLab.Simulation analysis by using Adams software was obtained based on man-gun system rigid-flexible coupling model. Thus, dynamic characteristic of gun components and response to body could be obtained while shooting.Then structure improvement plan was put forward based on exploring the cause of bounce and introducing the concept of relative stability and breech pressure and gas champer pressure were recalculated. Then the improved model was simulated to prove the relative stability while shooting at this condition which can provide an effective way for improving stability of machine gun.
