Abstract

The most difficult task in the field of psycholinguistics language production, it involves an extremely complex and difficult to observe from the process of thinking to language or measurement of cognitive processing. Therefore, the collection of the tip of the tongue phenomenon of people to speak in the output process, linguistic errors, pause, has become one of the method to study the psychology of language output Psycholinguists endures significant discourse behavior and to study the timing and manner of their occurrence. Lexical must go through a stage of language production, whether monolingual or bilingual, must extract the semantics of the word, voice, and syntactic information, so to be able to correct and continuous language production. The tip of the tongue phenomenon (the-Tip-of-the-tongue, or TOT) is the lexical language production process a widespread phenomenon, much concern psycholinguist. The tip of the tongue phenomenon refers to the speaker wants to express the meaning of a word, but can not correctly extract a state of the term. However, the study of this subject, the majority concentrated in the mother tongue tip of the tongue phenomenon. Compared with monolingual and bilingual cognitive processes involved in the migration impact of the first language or mother tongue is more complex, and the tip of the tongue phenomenon research rarely. The above findings suggest that the Chinese English learners in the processing of the word, in most cases will start first native language semantics corresponds to the word, and then retrieve the English target words; syntax of the target word and voice processing to each other independent of each other, there is no voice or syntactic become each other processing intermediary. Further, the conventional native studies, subjects in the active TOT state, \In this study, the bilingual native speakers of English as a foreign language, Chinese as a tested, experimental results show that, bilingual extraction of foreign language vocabulary, no matter in which of the three states, vocabulary syntactic information extraction significant difference. This result may indicate that bilinguals grasp of the native language for lexical information will be mapped to the English vocabulary syntactic information.
