Abstract


The switch cabinet is important in electric power system. The arc barrier happening in it causes damage to equipment of the system. This paper focuses on an arc protection device which we cooperate with XX corporation to develop. The arc protection device monitors the probable arc barriers via the illuminance transducer, cutting off the arc barriers in time, and diminishing the damage to equipment of the system. There are also temperature and humidity sensors in the arc protection device to control the working environment inside the switch cabinet. A serial debugging assistant software is used in the upper monitor to adjust and test the system.This paper accomplishes the following work:(1) The design of system hardware. The design is based on abundant understanding of the functions, structures and features of SCM and the sensors. An electrical schematic diagram is drawn with Protel software.(2) The establishment of I2C bus communication between SCM and the sensors. Although there is no I2C interface in STCs, this paper uses I/O interface in MCU to simulate I2C bus interface by the I2C subroutine software package, establishing I2C bus communication between SCM and the sensors.(3) The design and realization of system software. The system software is designed with assembly language programming, which makes possible communication with the upper monitor and control of electric relay actuation. The two functions are realized by serial port interrupt subroutine and external interrupt subroutine respectively.(4) After the design of system software and hardware, the serial debugging assistant software in the upper monitor is used to adjust and test the system, which achieves the desired effect.The research result is practically meaningful to the protection of the switch cabinet and Low-voltage bus in electric power system.
