Abstract


With the progress of world economic integration accelerating and the internationalization degree of the hotel industry deepening, domestic hotel industry is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges. How can the hotel deal with the fierce competition in the market and to be stronger? Natural selection proves survival of the fittest. Only by going with time trends, making use of self resources efficiently and forming their own competitive advantages, can they stand out in the fierce competition and establish their own brands.Although there are some individual differences, bringing cost control into management agenda and reducing operation cost of the hotel management are the consensus of many hotels. Small–and-medium private hotel is no exception. It is a problem to be solved in the cost management of small-and-medium hotels how to use fewer resources to form more effective cost control.First, this paper has summarized briefly the background and significance of the selected topic, the present situation of the domestic and foreign research, the thinking and the frame of the research and the innovation spots of this paper.Then, this paper introduced the cases which summarized the whole situation of the hotel and defined the size of the hotel, the market positioning, the products, the human resources at first , and then the present situation of cost management was stated .Again, based on the description of the present situation of the running of the hotel H, this paper analyzed the problems in the cost control of the hotel by using the related cost control theories and methods. In view of the problems in every link of cost control, it put forward concrete improvement strategies . At last, we have found that cost management for the development of the hotel is of key importance, managers not only should pay close attention to it, but also should include the cost of hotel management into the strategic management.Research of this paper is about improving the level of the cost management and supplying a new idea of the cost control for the entire industry.
