Abstract


Hunan Uygur came to south from west which has lived in Taoyuan county for630years. Hunan Uygur has been very different from what they are in past, no matter cloth, language or belief, since they has been around by Hunan culture for many years. Islamism should be the foundation of Uygur, determining their daily life. While it is different in Hunan Uygur now from generation to generation after I finished a field investigation. Nowadays, there are only a few of Hunan Uygur keep their belief in Islamism, while they had changed a lot and absorbed some Chinese culture in their religious life. I stated reasons for these changes in several aspects. It is concluded that belief changes in Hunan Uygur won’t harmful to the identification and unity of the nation.
