Abstract


At present, we are the bigger engineering construction country in the world, but notthe powerful engineering construction in the world. And it has a great relationship withthe inadequate personnel innovation capacity in China. There are many reasons causingthis problem. One of the important reasons relating to areas of higher engineeringeducation. Fundamentally, it has a relationship with the idea of the higher engineeringeducation in our country.The research on engineering education in the past only limitations in the technicallevel, lack of the discussion of the philosophy essence behind the problem. While thisarticle is based on today’s problems as the development of China’s higher engineeringeducation, starting from the idea of engineering education, has an analysis on the higherengineering education. By using dominant factor analysis method, pruning out severalleading engineering education idea with the development of engineering education inthe history of China: The pragmatism idea of engineering education during the period inthe republic of China; The technology governance idea of engineering education duringthe period in the founding of China; As well as the scientific idea of engineeringeducation at present. These kinds of ideas in engineering education all have theirhistorical background factors and have an important impact on engineering education.At last, the article constructs the idea of higher engineering education in the new era. Itmainly including the pluralistic idea of idealism which is based on the technicaltreatment of scientism,the multiple idea of realism which is based on the scientific oftechnical treatment and the large-scale engineering idea which is under the dependencyand effects of "natural-science and technology-society".On this basis, the article has aconcrete explanation on the cultivation of the top-notch talent、the plan of excellentengineers and the large-scale engineering idea.Engineering education idea is a rational cognition and philosophical reflection onthe higher engineering education. When thinking about the problems in China’s higherengineering education, using a perspective of overall, systematic and general.Throughstrengthening the study on the idea of higher engineering education in China, we canboth correcting the deviation of higher engineering education and helping promote thereform and development of the higher engineering education in our country.
