Abstract


Nowadays, the capital globalization tendency is obvious day by day, national culture has gradually become an important indicator to measure the comprehensive national strength. In the context of advocates to promote the national spirit, as an excellent representative of traditional culture, martial arts received government’s attention and more people’s attention. The Plum flower boxing is one of China’s outstanding traditional boxing, in the spread of development, it has been divided into the culture field and technology field, this is the difference from others, and so the Plum flower boxing can retain the original appearance and reflect the authentic martial arts and cultural characteristics. By the middle of last century, the Plum flower boxing has been appeared in colleges and universities, in1984, the first Plum flower boxing Association was set up in Shandong University, and then the Plum flower boxing had been spread in the form of association.With the methods of documentary review, question investigation, interviewing and field investigation, through investigation of12Plum flower boxing associations in colleges and universities of Jinan, the author investigated the associations’membership, the members’training situation, the years of training and the feeling of training. The author communicated with members of the Association and the general students, analyzed the factors of the Plum flower boxing Associations to flourish in Jinan universities, explored the difficulties that faced by the development of the Plum flower boxing associations and the reasons of them, finally, the author refers some measures and the reference suggestions to the development of the Plum flower boxing Associations.Result of study:1Up to2010, there are16areas of12universities have been set up the Plum flower boxing Association in Jinan, it has been successed. And longer the time of the association had been established, the well-known ness and the influence is bigger in the school.2The features of membership in the Plum flower boxing associations:members of the associations of men and women didn’t have a big difference; most of the members no martial arts experience before; in the association, the proportion of early scholars is bigger.3The Plum flower boxing associations cannot be developed opportunely without succession and development environment of martial arts culture in colleges and universities. Universities are the important places for the promotion of martial arts culture, and universities are the important positions to inherit and develop traditional Chinese culture, so the Plum flower boxing associations can be developed smoothly.4The Plum flower boxing associations cannot be developed opportunely without the value factors of the Plum flower boxing culture. In addition to physical health, the Plum flower boxing contains rich cultural connotations, many of them are important to the development of contemporary college students. This is a reason that the Plum flower boxing associations can be accept by many students, and this is the unique charm that the Plum flower boxing culture can be showed. 5There is a phenomenon in Plum flower boxing associations that the membership is not stable and the member population fluid big. There are some reasons:activities of the association are not strong attraction for some members; some other members absent association moves Because of their heavy burden, reduction of after-school time and higher education, and employment pressure. In addition, another problem that must be solved by the Plum flower boxing association is that members of the Association who have been graduated felt it is too difficult to practice boxing.
