Abstract


After three decades development of reform and opening up, China has entered the ranks of the middle-income countries, national wealth scale showing a significant growth and optimization. Growing middle class increasingly sophisticated financial concepts, began to shift from simplistic capital gains to comprehensive wealth management, more emphasis on comprehensive coverage of risk management, tax planning, children’s education, retirement, asset protection and wealth inheritance. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the financial position and risk appetite of the Chinese middle-class families to explore the the route of wealth management and strategic project, in order to better meet the middle-class all-round, multi-level wealth management needs.In this paper, wealth management project of the middle class as the main object of study, based on the analysis of consumption and investment characteristics of the middle class, reviews and summarizes the basic theory and method of the middle class wealth management. The paper focus on the wealth management project of the middle class family, and case studies will be used.Firstly, the paper describes the background and significance of the article, and combing the basic research at home and abroad to establish a research framework and research methods. Secondly, the paper clears economic, professional, cultural defines of the middle class, summarizes the consumer attitudes and behavior of the middle class on the basis of relevant data and research, studies the investment characteristics of the middle class from the willingness to invest investment demand, investment category and preference.Thirdly, the paper combines the economic characteristics of the middle class and the basic methods of wealth management planning to explain the meaning,content and principles of middle-class wealth management and to clear the middle class wealth management purposes based on the literature at home and abroad.Based on the family life cycle model, the paper also summarizes the middle class wealth management processes. Finaly, based on the premise of the relevant economic indicators and a family financial information and non-financial information, the paper applies formed middle class wealth management planning strategies to specific cases. This is to further clarify the middle class wealth management project process, also to test plan content articles designed in reality operability.
