Abstract


With the termination of Textiles and clothing import quota by all WTO members on january1st,2005, the textile and garments industry of Jiangsu province meet a powerful opportunity, together with great challenge. In this thesis, based on the data analysis of garments exported by ports of Jiangsu province, the author try to find the law of the trade of garments of the post-quota era. By analyzing the data, the author draw that, EU, Japan and USA were still the major trade partners of Jiangsu, and after the year2010, ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations) became the fourth largest trade partner. General trade export and Processing trade export are still the major tyade modes. The processing trade area developed rapidly. In recent years, Vietnam became an important trade partner of Jiangsu, The main variety that exported to Vietnam is underwear, and the main trade mode is processing trade.this show that overseas processing trade mode has developed rapidly in textile and garments industry.This thesis has five parts, the first part introduces the developing process of the international textile garment trade, the second part analyses international textile garment trade of Jiangsu, the third part analyses the main trade modes, the fourth part analyses the international textile garment trade with ASEAN, the fifth part, the total research contents are summarized and the future is prospected.
