Objective:To study the distributive characteristics, antimicrobial sensitivity and antimicrobial resistance of strains isolated from pneumoconiosis patients with lower respiratory tract infections.Methods:942 clinical isolates were acquired from phlem specimens and bacterial susceptibility test was carried out by Auto Scan4 system and Kirby-Bauer method.Result:Of 189 isolates from 189 from 942 cases of pneumoconisis patients were 156 gram-negative baccili, accounted for 82.5% with the major pathogen as Klebsiella pneumonia, Escherichia colićPseudomonas aeruginosa. Twenty isolates of gram-positive cocci were found with mains as Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis. Thirteen isolates of 3 fungi were noted, accounting for 6.9%, with major pathogens as Candida and aspergillus. The gram-negative bacilli were highly resistance to the 2nd- and the 3nd- cephalosporins, but remained highly sensitive to the 4th Cephalosporins, carbapenem and vancomycin. Conclusion:The major bacteria responsible for lower respiratory tract infections of pneumoconisis patients are mainly Gram negative bacilli. Physician should monitor antimicrobial resistance and select antibiotics for the treatment of infection rationally.
