Abstract


The quantum entanglement is the key physical resource of quantum computation and quantum information processing. The quantum system is inevitably influenced by the surrounding environment under the usual conditions. The interaction between environment and quantum system can cause decoherence and lead to entanglement decay and sudden death. In recent years, the phenomenon of entanglement sudden death has been payed more and more attention.Firstly, entanglement sudden death in bipartite quantum system is introduced by using the quantum entanglement theories. Then the entanglement dynamics of a double two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model with Kerr-like medium is investigated in detail. Meanwhile, some innovational new results are obtained.In chapter 1, the basic conceptions of quantum entanglement are presented. Firstly, the presentation and definition of quantum entangled states, as well as several common types of entangled state are given. Secondly, several kinds of the measurement of the degree of quantum entanglement in bipartite systems are presented.In chapter 2, the current situation of sudden death of entanglement in bipartite quantum systems is introduced.In chapter 3, the entanglement dynamics of a double two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model with Kerr-like medium is investigated by concurrence. It is shown that initial entanglement has an interesting subsequent time evolution, including the so-called entanglement sudden death effect. As it turned out, Kerr-like medium can repress entanglement sudden death and enhance the degree of atom-atom entangle- ment; the Kerr effect is more obvious when each of the two cavities with Kerr-like medium than only one of them with Kerr-like medium.In chapter 4, a brief summary and outlook of the work of this article is presented.
