Objective:To observe the changes of nitric oxide(NO) and Endothelin-1(ET-1) in patients with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS) before and after the operation. It will provide one theoretical base for protection of the blood vessel’s endothelial cell.Method:1.35 patients with OSAHS were selected,age:21~59(43.65±9.11) years old, BMI:26.37±3.26kg/M2.All of the OSAHS patients with nocturnal snoring, apnea and excessive daytime sleepiness syndrome were diagnosed by fibro laryngoscope and polysomnography(PSG).Including criteria for the present study was apnea-hypopnea index(AHI)>5/h for OSAHS patients.2.20 patients with OSAHS after the operation were selected(operated for lyear), age:21~60(44.28±10.98) years old,BMI:25.82±3.16kg/M2.All patients were diagnosed.OSAHS were excluded by polysomnography(PSG).3.15 healthy subjects were selected as the control group,age:21~60(43.69±7.64) years old,BMI:24.88±3.15kg/M2.Fasting venous blood were obtained from all observed subjects after PSG within the following 10minutes in the next morning.Plasma ET-1 and serum NO concentrations were measured by radioimmunoassay and nitrate reductase method respectively.Differences in parameters were assessed by software SPSS 11.5,and x2-test was adopted.Furthermore, linear correlations were performed in every pair variances. Results:1.The level of plasma ET-1 of patients with OSAHS were elevated, serum NO and NO/ET-1 were degressive than the operated patients with OSAHS.There was statistical significance(P<0.001).2.The level of plasma ET-1,NO and NO/ET-1 in operated patients with OSAHS was alike as that of the control group. There was not of statistical significance(P>0.05).3.The linear correlation was found:(1)The plasma ET-1 level was correlated negatively with minimal SaO2(r=-0.7 37),and correlated positively with AHI(r=0.524) in patients with OSAHS,and the serum NO level was correlated positively with minimal SaO2(r=0.711),and correlated negatively with AHI(r=-0.619) in patients with OSAHS.The NO/ET-1 level was correlated positively with minimal SaO2(r=0.778),and correlated negatively with AHI(r=-0.658) in patients with OSAHS.(2)The serum NO level was correlated positively with minimal SaO2(r=0.755), and correlated negatively with AHI(r=-0.701) in operated patients with OSAHS,and the plasma ET-1 level wasn’t correlated with SaO2(r=-0.258) and wasn’t correlated with AIM(r=0.148) in operated patients with OSAHS.The NO/ET-1 level was correlated positively with minimal SaO2(r=0.704),and correlated negatively with AHI(r=-0.565) in operated patients with OSAHS.(3)The serum NO level was correlated positively with minimal SaO2(r=0.820), and correlated negatively with AHI(r=-0.565) in healthy control subjects, and the plasma ET-1 level wasn’t correlated with SaO2(r=-0.169 ) and wasn’t correlated with AHI(r=0.345) in healthy control subjects. The NO/ET-1 level was correlated positively with minimal SaO2(r=0.939),and correlated negatively with AHI(r=-0.912) in healthy control subjects.Conclusions:1.The injury of the blood vessel’s endothelial cell was existed in the patients with OSAHS;It has been approved function of the blood vessel’s endothelial cell getted protection after the operated OSAHS patients ofⅠtype andⅡtype. Anoxic symptom ameliorated and some vasoactive substances protected.2.Effect of specified future date can be affirmed.
