Abstract


With the swift development of population of Chinese, more and more Chinese text books have appeared in front of us. At the same time the quality of text books is also focused by us. The thesis, by combining the theory of translation and contrast, vocabulary teaching method of TCFL, acquisition theory of recognition psychology, discusses the problem of the translation of the new words in text books.The thesis firstly establishes a corpus of TCFL text book’s translation errors by making a series of questionnaires (the contrast between "Chinese Textbooks" and "Bridge-Economical Chinese mid-rank textbook"). The thesis makes a conclusion on the distribution and content of TCFL text books’translation errors, and draws some constructive suggestions on the edition of TCFL text books. The thesis further tries to bring the translation error study to the TCFL vocabulary teaching method, establishing a new and helpful translation mode on new words.The thesis mainly discusses and solves such 3 problems below:1. Step to master the nowadays condition of TCFL text books’vocabulary translation and the content of its translation errors. Its aim is to establish a corpus of TCFL text book’s translation errors, supporting every points and the last conclusion.2. According to the contrastive linguistic theory, recognition psychology theory, the questionnaire analysis, the teaching process, the thesis put forward a vocabulary translation mode which will probably be used in the future.3. Contrast the two textbooks:"Chinese Textbook" and "Bridge-Economical Chinese mid-rank textbook", classifying the advantages and disadvantages between them. Then the thesis further discusses the problems in both two textbooks and others, attracting the influence of the TCFL vocabulary teaching.The author made such a great effort during the study process that makes the thesis scientific. The thesis not only has theory analysis, but also has applied such theory into the analysis of questionnaire and corpus, which makes the thesis avoid the separation of between theory and practice.
