Abstract

Optic biosensors have been researched widely in many fields. A novel optic biosensor based on the micro channels is submitted in this paper, and it combines processing technology of the micro channels with biological technology applying for theory of the optic micro sensors. Optic biosensors not only enriches and develops investigation and application space for micro sensors but also broads researching fields for theory and technology of sensors. The two kinds of optic biosensors based on micron channels are researched, which is respectively optic biosensors of the single and the two optic fibers. Especially, the construction of the two optic fibers is fabricated by high power Laser on the surface of PMMA materials. The probe of the molecular recognition and fluorescent receiving are etched by chemical etching methods. ZnSe nano crystal clusters and fluorescein sodium molecules are respectively used for marking glucose molecules, which is detected by fluorescent methods in micron channels. Based on these, fiber optic biosensors of the two optic fibers is realized fluorescent detection. Several factors of the result are studied and the experimental results are analyzed. Main innovation has four aspects:1. Micro channels are applied for optic biosensors. Two kinds of fiber optic biosensors based on micron channels are designed.2. The probe of the molecular recognition and fluorescent receiving are etched by chemical etching methods.3. The probe of fluorescent receiving is studied on theory and experiment. Relation between tapered angle and minimal angle of fluorescence receiving is derived in the probe of fluorescent receiving. The condition of zero order system, the static sensitivity of fiber optic biosensors is researched.4. The technology of ZnSe nano crystal clusters marking glucose molecules is used as detecting biological molecules in fiber optic biosensors. Fiber optic biosensors based on micro channels are potential technology and can realize micro detection of biomolecular. It combined with machining technology of micro channels, biological technology, optic fiber sensor technology, etc. Such technique will be applied widely many fields such as biology, medicine, microelectronics, signal and system and so on. With the development of technology, micro total analysis system will be applied widely.
