Abstract


With the rapid development of information and technology, information networks have spread all over the society in many fields, such as the use of office networks. Internet is open, whose openness will make it possible that the data may be stole, tampered with or lost during the process of transmission. How to guarantee the documents’ legitimacy, uniqueness, traceability, anti-illegal copying, anti-illegal tampering and other issues, has been concerned with. As a result of this, electronic seals, which can ensure the security of office net works, come into being.This paper proposes a electronic seal system for the colleges, which is about how to make use of existing campus network and hardware resources of servers in the colleges. The main contents and efforts of this paper can be listed as following:1. No third-party digital certificates. Due to the use of large amount of electronic signatures, one school is reluctant to pay the large fixed fee for the third-party digital certificates every year.2.Due to the similarity between digital certificates center and electronic seal center, it’s possible for the colleges to merge the two kinds of management and consider the electronic seal center as an interaction window with the users. So the production and management of digital certificate are isolated from users, which implements the transparency of the digital certificates’ management. So the users only need to fill in one form to apply the digital certificate and electronic seal, which simplifies the procedures greatly3.The creation of electronic seal system will be able to use campus setting with three-tier management model (that is, the leading group for the first level, network management center for the second; each department for the third), which can create a simple, applicable and secure electronic seal system.4. The implementation of electronic seal in a word document-the sealed process integration of with Word documents, has contributed to the office application of electronic seal in Science and Technology school of Guiyang.
