Abstract


Technological innovation capability is the constraint on China’s business growth in the long-term, and is also one important reason of the low core competence of Chinese enterprises. Theorists generally agreed that technological innovation capability of enterprises have a path-dependent characteristic, closely connected with technological innovation. Because of the absence of path dependence, many companies lack the motivation to innovate in technology, management ideas and management talents. Because of the inadequate investment in innovation, companies pay high cost. Therefore, it’s really important of researching China’s path dependence to promote technological innovation capability of companies.In this paper, based on the existing literature in the field of path dependence and technological innovation capability, the research systematic puts forward the role of path-dependent technological innovation capability of enterprises and develops the conceptual model. Considering the object of the Chinese enterprises, the thesis analyzes the relationship between path-dependent which has four dimensions of business innovation values, atmosphere for innovation, incentive systems and corporate performance and technological innovation capability through the data of Chinese enterprises, then verifies whether the path-dependent has significant impact on technological innovation ability.In this paper, we designed a questionnaires about a path dependence and technological innovation capability questionnaire, and some methods such as validity analysis, reliability analysis, multiple linear regression analysis and other methods were used to an empirical examination and quantitative empirical research, then it verified the model assumptions.The results of the research have shown that innovation values, atmosphere for innovation and incentive systems positively related to technological innovation capability, while corporate performance negative related to innovation capability. Therefore, enterprises should strive to build innovative corporate culture to get a better improvement effect on the technological innovation capability, while with the increasing performance, companies should invest capital more in technological innovation capability, making full use of funds to promote the technological innovation and enhance the sustainable innovation capability of enterprises.
