Abstract


After the entry of new millennium, with the acceleration of the development of society and the change of people’s ideas and habits, the traditional media represented by typical newspaper has been experiencing the audio-visual shock and developing pressure. Meanwhile, the emergence, development and growth of metro paper make the newspaper market increasingly competitive, which brings more pressure to evening paper. Evening paper as an important member of newspaper family is also under the pressure. In order to keep up the pace of the era and to meet the reading requirements of readers through which newspapers can gain more room and opportunities for development, a number of internal evening paper revised themselves one after another to revitalize their market.Some evening papers spared no effort in the beginning of the century to carry out the radical revision.“Qilu Evening News”as a provincial evening newspaper, follows their steps and takes positive actions to break the previous conservative ideas and revises again and again during which it explores its own developing way. Since the beginning of the new century,“Qilu Evening News”has experienced many revisions, among which the larger scale and more effective ones are the revisions in 2001, 2003, 2006 and 2007. For each revision, the content and focus are different, so do the form and the results obtained. From the adjustment of the content to the improvement of the headlines, from the change of news reports’concept to the innovation of its layout,“Qilu Evening News”presents the audience the most intuitive form—newspaper revision, to seek development.Aiming at the revised content listed above, the thesis conducts related text analysis and comparative study from both macro and micro perspective of the development of evening paper to give a thorough analysis of newspaper revision by sight of multi-disciplinary perspective. Through macro and micro analysis, some thoughts and suggestions about the revision of“Qilu Evening Paper”comes out, which as well as offering reference to China’s evening paper.
