Abstract


Sinusitis is an inflammation of the sinus mucosa symptoms, because of its often associated with rhinitis complicated , it is now widely considered to be more appropriate name of \Rhinosinusitis include nasal congestion , loss of sense of smell , common clinical symptoms , including runny nose and facial feeling of constriction is characterized . Its complex etiology , clinical treatment is very necessary . Mometasone furoate as a local anti-inflammatory effects of glucocorticoids , initially for the treatment of skin disorders and asthma ; In recent years, the type of nasal spray ( Nasonex ) is used more and more allergens rhinitis. This drug has significant persistent asthma , and well tolerated in improving lung function weakened the speed and delayed asthmatic reaction caused by allergens , reduce airway hyperresponsiveness and allergens induced sputum increased liquid eosinophils . Recent studies have shown that mometasone furoate topical application ( mometasone furoate nasal spray ) , you can improve the function of the mucociliary system , affect both local and systemic immunity , and can promote the recovery of the airway mucosa after endoscopic sinus surgery . Glucocorticoids , not only to the value of its performance , security should not be overlooked . For topical application of glucocorticoids , the local anti-inflammatory effects should be consistent with low systemic exposure . Accordingly, the delay from the local to systemic distribution and rapid hepatic metabolism completely - and inactive metabolites , it is very advantageous . The mometasone furoate , have been reported that it has very low systemic bioavailability , and glucocorticoid receptor with high affinity . But at the same time, the mometasone furoate adverse systemic side effects , as the hypothalamus - pituitary - adrenal axis suppression, also on the agenda . In any case, all of the research results can not draw a conclusion , further studies are needed .
