Abstract


Negative physical self refers to a passive image of one’s body,passive emotional experience and the corresponding adjustment of one’s behaviors,from the negative orientation on physical self-study.Fat negative physical self is defined as negative cognition,emotion and behavior to his/her own body that the individuals think they are fat.The overseas research on negative physical self is very popular,but researches at home in this area appear to be quite weak. As the youngsters are at the peak of growth and development, to pay more attention to their own bodies, body dissatisfaction has become more popular. In addition, China is a multi-ethnic state, and in the context of different cultures, for physical self-perception and evaluation of different, equally dissatisfied with the body are also different.In this study, ethnic differences start, respectively, the transfer of tasks and re-use of visual recognition task, the visual detection of experimental paradigm, lexical decision task study of Mongolian and Han fat negative physical self-secondary school students in memory, attention, encoding three aspects of cognitive processing bias characteristics. The results are as follows:(1)Fat negative physical self middle school students demonstrated memory bias for the fat-related information on the recognition. Word of the fat and thin word recognition reaction time was significantly shorter in the neutral term. Fat-related information to the memory of bias does not exist ethnic differences and differences between spoken and written languages among fat negative physical self middle school students.(2)Fat negative physical self middle school students of the attentional bias has not been confirmed, it might be attributed to experimental design and operational problems that might exist. (3)Fat negative physical self middle school students demonstrated encoding bias for the fat-related words. With a fat negative body self-schema consistent with a larger body of information on the amount of preference. Fat Negative words and fat metaphor words preference is greater than the fat positive words, Fat shape of the words in their midst. Fat-related word to the encoding of bias does not exist ethnic differences among fat negative physical self middle school students.
