Abstract


Dan Sperber and Deirdre Wilson , Relevance Theory in 1986 from the perspective of cognitive analysis of the issues involved in the process of verbal communication that verbal communication is an express - the process of reasoning , the core of the proposed communication is to find the optimal relevance and thus reasoning out the intent of the communicator . Ernst August Gutt successful introduction of relevance theory in translation studies , translation as a process involving two ternary relations among the original author , the translator and the target language recipient reasoning , the success of the translation is the best correlation delivery. In the theoretical framework , the responsibility of the translator is trying to make sure that the original author 's intent and target language recipient hoping coincide . On the one hand , it must be from the original wording appreciate the intent of the original author ; the other hand, you must understand the cognitive context of the target language recipient to select a different translation strategies to obtain the best correlation between the two . \Mr. Lin Yutang proficient bilingual , well versed in the Eastern and Western cultures , carefully worded , excellence , on the one hand carefully reasoning the original pass the information artistic pursuits responsible , faithful to the original performance art realistic premise , from the shape and quite similar to the terms of the excellent performance of the original charm ; sufficient basis of cognitive context of the recipients of the target language , appropriate for the original to be a choice , take a flexible translation strategies to pass the original information to the recipients of the target language .
