Abstract


With the development of economy, the status of tourism in the national economy is becoming much more important. It also plays an important role in the international economic exchanges. As a country with rich tourism resources, China is making progress to the target of becoming one of the top tourism destinations worldwide. As the tourism industry has a high correlation, it can stimulate the development of relevant industries and is helpful to the adjustment of industrial structures. China’s most regions have taken tourism as a pillar industry and given priority to supporting the industries development. Core competence can support sustained and healthy development of tourism. Therefore, it is necessary to research the competitiveness of tourism in Tianjin to evaluate the development level of tourism and found the weakness. Then we can propose some measures for improvement.The main research continents of this thesis are summarized as follows:1.Through the analysis and research on the tourism-related competitive theory, the research objectives, research meaning and research methods is established. This paper applies the entropy theory to research the competitiveness of tourism industry.2. In this thesis, the dissipative structure of tourism system is expounded. The computational modeling of entropy in travel system is established firstly. The tourism system is consisted of demand subsystem, industry supply subsystem, natural environment subsystem and supporting facilities subsystem. According the four subsystems, the index system to assess the tourism competitiveness is set up.3. The entropy of tourism system is calculated. The provinces were sorted according the entropy. Then, the competitiveness level of Tianjin tourism is shown clearly. The shortcomings are easy to find. In order to verify the applicability of entropy theory in the tourism system, the tourism competitiveness also is studied by the method of factors analyzing.4. Built on the oriented and external opportunities and threats, combining the shortcomings of tourism industry in Tianjin, the developing strategy to optimize is put forward.This research analysis the tourism industry in the view of system theory and entropy system, majority factors on the tourism competitiveness are considered. It provides an effective way to enhance the competitiveness level of Tianjin tourism. And it has significant reference on the studying of regional tourism.
