Abstract


Property and casualty insurance for social stability, and to improve the social welfare of the country as well as to promote the economic development of the region, plays a vital role. With the opening up of China's property insurance market, the property insurance market in Shandong Province, the rapid growth and a rapid increase in the number of business entities, the competition has become increasingly fierce. Since the Shandong Province to restore the property and casualty insurance business, property insurance premium income showed an annual increment of the situation, an increase from $ 2.3 billion in 1987 to 16.42 billion yuan in 2008. Relatively low property insurance penetration and density in Shandong Province, Shandong Province in 2008, property insurance penetration and insurance density were 0.44 and 144.33 yuan / person, in the middle level in the country. Therefore, how to grasp the characteristics of the demand for property insurance in Shandong Province, to develop competitive products in order to win the market and improve the level of demand for property insurance in Shandong Province, is a very pressing issue for various property companies. In addition, government regulatory agencies, how to maximize stimulate demand for property insurance to safeguard the stable and healthy development of the property insurance market, is a problem worthy of study. In this paper, the property insurance market in Shandong Province as the research object to analyze the condition of the property and casualty insurance needs of Shandong Province, and the analysis and evaluation of the supply situation of the property insurance market in Shandong Province, and puts forward recommendations to promote balanced supply and demand of property insurance, property insurers to develop insurance products, and internal management and related insurance regulatory authorities policy makers to provide the reference. This study is built on top of the economic theory of the demand for property insurance, the theory expounded by the property and casualty insurance products and property insurance needs, the use of natural multiple linear regression model and the ARMA time series model to study the demand for property insurance in Shandong Province from discovery of various factors on the demand for property insurance and the impact of size, at the same time explore Shandong Province property insurance needs of the time sequence of dynamic characteristics and seasonal fluctuations law. In addition, the use of cluster analysis methods in multivariate statistical classification and comparison of Shandong Province property insurance level of demand and domestic other provinces in which the status of the property insurance market in Shandong Province in the country, and on this basis, scientific evaluation. Then, analysis and evaluation of the property insurance market in Shandong Province, the supply situation. Finally, on the basis of the conclusions of previous empirical analysis of property insurance companies on product development and internal management advice, policy recommendations of the regulatory aspects of the insurance regulators.
