Abstract

The pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is an important and special industry of the national economy, involving national health, social stability and economic development. Since the reform and opening up, China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry has maintained a rapid pace of development, its growth rate is higher than the same period the national industry average level of growth, has developed into a pillar industry of the national economy. The pharmaceutical manufacturing industry listed company focused on the scale and economic benefits of the whole industry a considerable amount of assets, fully representative of the existing level of development of China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and the potential for future development. Pharmaceutical manufacturing business performance of listed companies affect the future development of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry has a certain theoretical and practical significance to study the operating performance of a company listed on the pharmaceutical manufacturing. Currently, the domestic research on the business performance of the companies listed on the pharmaceutical manufacturing the following three issues: First, the study is limited to the use of the theory of industrial development; is not taken into account the features of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in technology-driven industries; medicine is not taken into account sub-sectors of the manufacturing industry, the characteristics of the three sub-sectors of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry of traditional Chinese medicine, bio-medicine, bio-medicine in the industrial structure, the core technology, production process extremely different, has its own distinctive features. Based on this background, the purpose of this study is to clarify the orbital stages and characteristics of China's pharmaceutical manufacturing technology in which the orbital theory of the use of technology, pharmaceutical manufacturing business performance of listed companies from the perspective of the technological trajectory theoretical research on the different technical track operating performance and technological innovation capability of a company listed on the pharmaceutical manufacturing empirical research impact on business performance. This study is conducive to research from the theoretical perspective of the technology life cycle of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, will help us to grasp China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry development and law, as well as decision-making provides a theoretical basis for government policy-makers and business decision-makers. In the empirical process, this paper uses the method of statistical analysis. 56 pharmaceutical manufacturing select the Shanghai and Shenzhen listed companies as samples, 2004-2008 Listed Companies' Annual financial data. Factor analysis on pharmaceutical manufacturing three technology tracks the operating performance of the listed companies in various capacities in which to conduct a comprehensive evaluation; Clustering analysis of various factors and operating performance score analysis, comparative analysis of the different technical track pharmaceutical manufacturing listed company's operating performance and five abilities; On this basis, the use of regression analysis, an empirical analysis of the technological innovation capability and business performance of listed companies of different technical track pharmaceutical manufacturing. Through theoretical analysis and empirical research, the main conclusions of this paper are as follows: (1) the chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing technology track tends to the limits of technology, technological innovation capability and business performance is no significant positive correlation between the majority of the operating performance of its listed companies in China moderate level of performance of the pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, and its advantage in terms of profitability. (2) traditional Chinese medicine manufacturing technology track has reached its limit, there is no significant positive correlation between technological innovation capability and business performance, the majority of the operating performance of listed companies in China's pharmaceutical manufacturing business performance lower level, all aspects of capacity development in general. (3) the biomedical manufacturing technology track in a period of growth, technological innovation capability and business performance has a significant positive correlation between the operating performance of its listed companies presented with the strength of the technological innovation capability polarization, the advantage in the ability to grow . Finally on the basis of the discussion of research findings, summarizes the progress made in theory and management practices, while noting the limitations of this study and future direction for further research.
