Abstract


Pun is a commonly used figure of speech in both Chinese and Uygur languages. the use of the pun is particularly prominent in "Dream of Red Mansions", which can be divided into homophonic pun, semantic pun, shape and meaning pun. Take the dimensional translation of "Dream of Red Mansions" in the pun for example,this aticle is to explore how to convey the main thrust of art, charm, charm, and terminology through analysis, poetry and discourse in the homophonic pun-dimensional translation throush in the pun off of this unique language in the process of translatio, summaring that a homophonic pun translation generally use free translation and transliteration filling method. By analyzing the semantics of discourse in poetry and pun-dimensional translation, this article summed up the general use of literal translation and free translation filling method in the tranlation of semantical pun . For special form and meaning pun, the pun will be translated into non-pun with its surface abandaned but its content translated.
