Abstract


"Cultural City"in Guilin was the progressive culture-center of Southwest Area, as well as the outposts of public opinion which propaganda anti-Japanese War in KMT-governed region during Chinese anti-Japanese War. Guilin "Ta Kung Pao"is the product of the war. This study was undertaken to explore the operating mode of Guilin "Ta Kung Pao" in the historical context and ecological environments of "culture city" by using literature research methods and qualitative research methods. The emphasis of the paper is to dig out the distinctive factor of its news discourse to further the personage study.First, the paper reviews the development of "Ta Kung Pao" and concludes its traditional style as a reflection and reference, which formed the characteristics of Guilin "Ta Kung Pao".Secondly, a highly perceptive analysis on the historical context of anti-Japanese war and ecological environments of "culture city" was taken. On the one hand, Guilin "Ta Kung Pao"was published while our country was passing through troublesome times. On the other hand, journalism in Guilin formed its unique media ecology under the pressure of the urgent circumstances.Then, the paper analysis the layout and content features of Guilin "Ta Kung Pao", which is the research points of the study. Faithful to the original and in press reports of people with work on the basis ofThis paper summarized the newspaper’s characteristics and gave reasons how to promote the development of Chinese Journalism and put forward anti-Japanese War with news discourse. Xu zhucheng’s comments and Peng Zigang "Chongqing News" are the significant features of Guilin "Ta Kung Pao".Journalist is the soul of the newspaper, so the paper can’t make text analysis without concerning men. Xu Zhucheng, sub-Gang Peng, Yang Gang and a number of journalists full of extraordinary ability made indelible contribution to the development of Guilin "Ta Kung Pao".Finally, the paper took a brief analysis on the operating features of Guilin "Ta Kung Pao". Its highly efficient and flexible organization and its employment system provide a solid guarantee for the publishing of Guilin "Ta Kung Pao".
