Abstract


Arif Dirlik in the research of globalization and criticism of postcolonial theory have made significant achievements, he used Marx’s view of history and methodology to research the post-colonial thought from the historical perspective, Created his own unique postcolonial criticism theory. For contemporary postcolonial theory and postcolonial atmosphere in the third world of intellectuals and enlightening significance forward has criticized strategy.This article mainly elaborated from three parts to post-colonial criticism theory of Dirlik.Part 1:Mainly introduces the historical post-colonial theory and the theoretical background and main theoretical achievements. The arrival of the era of global capitalism make culture big development, great prosperity, colonial appeared new form-cultural colonization, culture on political and economic influence also increased; the main theoretical achievements of Postmodernism has provided the theoretical foundation for the postcolonial theory; and simply introduced the main ideas of the post-colonial theory:Oriental’s research, the Women’s Studies Research, Mixture of theoretical.Part 2:This paper systematically describes the theory of Dirlik’s post-colonial criticism. Through criticism of postcolonial critics, Dirlik points out that there exists serious contemporary post-colonial theory, and points out that the tendency to adhere to creator rule shall issue the post-colonial theory research. Through the explanation and criticism of globalization, he analyses the globalization of postcolonial theory, first is a detailed post-colonial description and definition. Dirlik points out that as the background of postcolonial theory of globalization has obtained a degree of ideological hegemony. Through the postcolonial discourse and postcolonial intellectual’s criticism, he thinks post-colonial is a kind of words which trying to use their self-image set for postcolonial intellectuals to construct the world; it is a global capitalist world situation ideology conspiracy. Dirlik still survey the local society and Confucianism revival from the perspective of post-colonialism. He believes the local land was a place which was promising and full of difficulties. So it was very important to distinguish between "the critical localism" and the "ideology of localism" Part 3:Using Max’s view of history and methodology, Dirlik put forward his post-colonial theory. This has an important for our academic and cultural criticism of Chinese theories. But because some subjective reason, his theory is not perfect. We should be critical perspective on postcolonial theory, both sure his achievements, and want to see his shortage, absorbs the essence and eliminate the dross, and in the end to promote the development of Chinese culture.
