Abstract

In recent years, some linguists after computer statistical analysis found that the English language communication and not only through the use of grammar and vocabulary to achieve 90% of the natural discourse by those in the grammar and vocabulary between the semi-fixed \plate \It is usually as a whole, stored in the memory in use extracted directly without the need for generation and analysis according to the rules of grammar. This paper mainly relying Nattinger and DeCarrico (1992) the Chunk theory, comparative analysis method, Shandong Normal University, the 30 essays in two natural classes for the study sample, word analysis of the high and low grouping students block usage two group differences in the frequency of the use of the word block, and use the same function word block differences. Finally questionnaire way to learn about the college students to learn and use the word block to provide a reference for college English writing course.
