Abstract


The Chunk research has attracted the interest of a growing number of grammarians and educators , because it broke the traditional grammar and vocabulary of the system together , the \Its most important theoretical principle that \In other words , the traditional grammar teaching theory is that the syntax is the backbone of the framework , vocabulary is within the framework of the filler . Defects in the teaching of such theories is that learners learn a lot of knowledge of grammar and vocabulary phrases still can not properly use the language . Purely communicative approach too much emphasis on the communicative function of the lack of relevant knowledge of grammar , will result in the same language misuse . Chunk good adjustment of form and function , to overcome the problem above two teaching theory , provides us with an ideal foreign language teaching ideas . In view of the past few word block writing , this study intends based Chunk theory and discuss the impact of the word block the ability of the English Professional Writing . This study proposes the following three questions : First , high score essay students than the low-scoring essay students use More Words blocks ? The second score composition students whether to use a wider variety than the low-scoring essay students Chunk ? Third Chunk play a role in whether writing fluency authentic ? study data through a questionnaire , get an interview and one hundred students writing , English learning and writing questionnaire interview Chunk learning and writing in the use the word block number and variety of data . In this study, using SPSS to analyze the questionnaires and writing data , analysis and interviews , the following conclusions : 1 , score writing students to use a greater number of word blocks . 2 the score composition students to use more types of word block . Chunk indeed play a role in writing fluency and authentic . The study concluded that , Chunk knowledge of English learning provides update the knowledge of the more effective ways , linguists and teachers should learn more about this field in order to make the of chunk knowledge and better teaching of English fusion .
