Abstract


The secondary vocational education and training carries the mission to develop multi-level skilled workers for our country and its development is very important to China’s economy. The teachers’development is fundamental to secondary vocational education and training. As the main part of secondary vocational teachers, the female teachers have made outstanding contributions to the secondary vocational education development for our country. Their career development level is an important factor for China’s secondary vocational education. However, the current research in the career development is limited to primary education and higher education and it can not meet secondary vocational education requirements.The female teachers in secondary vocational school are the research object in this essay. Based on survey data of some secondary vocational schools in Anhui province, this essay try to understand teacher career development status, and existing problems, and try to analyze the factors which influence occupational development of female secondary vocational school teachers. Through the case study of several successful female teachers, the countermeasure and suggestions are proposed in view of the factors influencing their occupational development.This essay is divided into five parts. The first part analyzes the necessity of occupational development of female vocational school teachers based on related research backgrounds. The second part discusses the current situation of the development of female teachers’ occupation through the survey data of five vocational schools in Anhui Province. The third part analyzes the factors that influence vocational teacher occupation development from perspective of the social culture, organizations and individuals respectively. The fourth part provides the practical basis of occupational development strategies for female vocational school teachers based on the interviews of successful female teachers. The fifth part provides the suggestions for occupational development of female vocational school teachers with the hope that it is can be used as reference for female human resources development in Chinese secondary vocational school education.
