Abstract


This paper consists of three parts, mainly the synthesis of pyrazoline compounds and benzothiazole-fused carbazole compounds, the experimental study and theoretical research of luminous property of target compounds. The specific work are as follows:1. The synthesis of pyrazoline compounds and benzothiazole-fused carbazole compounds. On the basis of analyzing and summarizing the related literatures, we took aryl aldehyde and aromatic ketone as raw material and synthesized three pyrazoline compounds via a series of reactions including Claisen-Schmidt reaction, cycloaddition reaction, reduction reaction and sonogashira reaction. On the other hand, we took carbazole as starting material to synthesize three benzothiazole-fused carbazole compounds by using ullmann reaction, wittig reaction, etc. These compounds were characterized and confirmed by 1H NMR and IR.2. The study on luminescent properties of target compounds. In order to understand their luminescent properties and luminescent rules, the target compounds were studied systematically by UV-vis absorption spectra and fluorescence emission spectra. By testing their absorption and emission spectra in different solvents and different concentration solutions, the effect of molecular structure, solvent polarity and concentration of solution on spectral characteristics were explored. The results showed that their UV-vis absorption spectra and fluorescence emission spectra in solutions have a degree of red shift along with increasing solvent polarity.3. The study on quantum chemistry calculations of target compounds. In this paper, the target compounds and their anions were optimized using DFT at B3YLP/6-31G(d,p) level firstly. Then, based on these steady optimized structures, we analyzed the characteristics of their frontier molecular orbitals and the distribution of energy levels and calculated their electron affinities. The electronic absorption spectra of the corresponding compounds were also calculated using TD-DFT at the same level. Additionally, the molecular structures of the first singlet excited states for these target compounds were optimized with CIS/6-31G(d,p) method. Finally, the emission spectra of the corresponding compounds were calculated using TD-DFT at the same level based on the steady optimized structures of the first singlet excited state. These results show that the electron affinities of compounds are negative, indicating that they could accept electron easily and would be well electron-transporting materials, and the calculated data are in better agreement with the data obtained from experiments.In short, we synthesized new pyrazoline compounds and benzothiazole-fused carbazole compounds, and researched their luminous property by experiment and theoretical methods, The results showed that the experimental data were consistent with the theoretical value. These compounds possess potential application as organic electroluminescent materials.
