Motivation is able to motivate students to continue learning momentum going in the second language learning play an extremely important role. Since the 1950s , second language acquisition by more and more scholars are concerned , the main body of the learner as language learning , second language acquisition is an important aspect of the study . This article combines theory and practice , drawing on the domestic motivation for second language learning research, combined with the author in Thailand Li Yihuang home university professor teaching practice, for 180 Thai students issuance of questionnaires , and survey data analysis , thus the motivation for Thai students learning Chinese investigation and analysis and research. First , the paper deals abroad motivation in second language acquisition research status at home and abroad for Chinese as a second language learning motivation research developments , and discusses the concept of motivation and classification . Secondly, the details of the Thai students learning motivation research process, involving issues raised , questionnaire design , survey sample selection , the research process , data collection and processing, research and analysis, and summarizes the Thai students motivation characterized by the presence , on this basis , affecting Thai students learning motivation of the main factors were analyzed and discussed . Finally , the author of its own house in Thailand Li Yihuang university teaching practice , on how to improve and stimulate Thai students learning motivation of this problem, a teaching suggestions , mainly from the Chinese proficiency and the understanding of the students' psychological needs , select the appropriate level of student materials, develop appropriate teaching methods, the use of multimedia teaching , enhance interaction five aspects are discussed.
