Abstract


China’s current situation is not only highly developing in the period of socialist construction, but also in an era of rapid social change. The tide of globalization can not be resisted, values of western countries and Asian neighboring countries pour in, along with various degree of deepening reform and opening up, which results the mutual interaction with traditional values of our countries. With the sharp vision, the scholars have seen one of the crises. under the conditions that the core values can not be affected, they can properly absorb the advanced values and need to prevent the change of cultural hegemony and tendency of mainstream values. Meanwhile, with the China’international status rising, gradual strengthening of our country’influence power causes our country’s values to affect the values of other countries by various forms of communication. In spite of the mutual influence, the current major trends can be summarized as seeking common ground. That is, based on their best cultural values that are retained, each nation absorbs values that fit their nations and makes them localize, or even forms a worldwide recognition of universal values. From the points of the conflicts of Eastern and Western values, the conflicts between traditional and modern values, the changes brought about by the ideological conflict of values, this paper analyses contemporary China’s performance of conflicts of major values, contrasts the methods of conflict between Asian and European countries in dealing with the conflicts of values, explore its contribution and the crux of the problem, meantime, describes such issues as the peaceful evolution resulting from conflicts of values. Combining the current international and domestic environment, this paper tries to find out an effective way that establishes a unique view of cultural values of our country, further explores the road of building a harmonious society, and proposes personal views and suggestions. In theory, this paper has a certain auxiliary role for the construction of view of values in transitional period. from a practical perspective, this paper has a vital role in building a harmonious cultural values, stabilizing the domestic and international situation and constructing harmonious society.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part by horizontal comparison points out that the wave of globalization can not be resisted and impacts of Western values on our country’s, and further explore the strategies for these impacts. The second part by the longitudinal comparison, analyses the collision between the contemporary values and traditional values that rooted in our country for thousands of years under the premise of profound changes of the ideology and the changes of social and economic structure that produced by reform and opening up. This paper will make a specific analysis of the contemporary significance of traditional values and how is it replaced by contemporary values, but it can not be the reason for China’s current core values. The third part discusses the cultural values of Marxism, cultural values thought of Marxism contained in central collective guiding of the Chinese communist party and points out the necessity of combining traditional views of values and the cultural values of Marxism. The fourth part discusses the theoretical basis of constructing harmonious society based on views of cultural values. Part V makes a conclusion.
