Abstract


Vocabulary teaching methods in recent years more and more to get the attention of the field of linguistics. Contemporary famous linguist, was first proposed in 1993 Lexical Approach Michael Lewis (Michael Lewis) is based on a lot of literature about the actual language used lexical chunks focus on language use, language teaching should become focus. The presence of lexical chunks to accelerate the speed of language processing, are of great significance to promote fluency of language acquisition and language output. Chunks Approach emphasizes the culture the word block the ability of the learner, that is, to grasp the frequent exchange of fixed phrases, collocations and sentence the ability, to the acquisition of vocabulary, grammar and communicative abilities blend. This thesis is based on the word block theory, textbooks, student test questions and results analysis to study and survey of junior high school English teaching word block status of teaching and learning, and chunk affect learning. The findings of the teachers and students of teachers and students understanding and awareness Chunk Chunk. Year junior high school \Some teachers open questionnaire. This part describes the theory and reality with the background and significance of the research, explains the purpose of the study. Introduces and analyzes the current word block teaching situation illustrates the importance of English textbooks and practice materials in the teaching of English. The second part of the literature review section. Find papers related data and analysis Chunk reading analysis chunk research in the field of the status quo. At the same time make a chunk theory further and summarized, including the practical application of the Lexical Approach, the concept of words, the essence of the Chunk, Chunk teaching strengths and chunk teaching. The third part of the study design section. This part of the subject of this study, three research questions, study in detail, and examples of research material. Materials, as well as questions of analysis, classification designed for teachers and student questionnaires. The fourth part is the analysis found that part. Complete analysis of textbooks and papers from students and teachers feedback analysis of the survey, find out the purpose of this paper is to research the answer to solve the problem. The fifth part of the study investigated a comprehensive summary. The limitations of this study, but also made reference proposal for further study. Textbook study and analysis of reference materials, there are still some deficiencies of a short time, less the number of subjects, needs to be further improved and developed. But I believe the word block has a significant impact on the teaching and learning of English, the study also believe some inspiration for further research.
