Abstract

A long time, language study has found idioms, with idiomatic words and other vocabulary chunk has a very important role in language and language use. But over the vocabulary chunks marginal phenomenon in language, in addition to which a small number of fixed phrases, have not attracted the attention of language teaching. However, in recent years, with the development of corpus linguistics, it was discovered that there are a lot of word blocks in the actual language. This caused Linguistics various fields such as: corpus linguistics, psycholinguistics, applied linguistics concerns. People began to reconsider the nature of language and language acquisition. The language is not only a syntax rules-based analysis system, or a memory-based programmable system. The traditional view of language syntax for be the language vocabulary related challenges. MichaelLewis (1993) proposed language is not lexicalized grammar, but the grammar vocabulary. Language is not posed by traditional grammar and vocabulary, usually formed by a multi-word prefabricated word block. Represented by Michael Lewis linguists language vocabulary concept based on a use of the word block new teaching methods in language teaching: The Lexical Approach. The Lexical Approach theoretically demonstrated the word block centered language teaching helps learners of the language raising the level of, and provides some practical teaching methods, including teaching principles, teaching skills, teaching activities designed. However, its actual value to be proved to be teaching practice. This study was designed to test the teaching practice Lexical Approach is to contribute to the development of the student's level of spoken. The grade two parallel group of 60 doctoral students to participate in this study, time for a semester, a total of four months. The teaching methods used by the author in the experimental group based Lexical Approach and improved according to the actual situation. Two oral tests before and after the experiment, the test scores are used to test the effect of the teaching experiment; students personal statement and a panel discussion to be recorded, is used for further analysis of the experimental results. The research will be used SPSS 13.0 statistical software for analysis of the results of the oral test. I will also describe and discuss the results of survey. The results show that, compared with the control group, the experimental group of students measured after oral performance better oral expression more accurately speaking ability has improved greatly. This study confirms the validity of the vocabulary of the level of students' oral development. The author hopes that this study inspire vocabulary in language teaching, and helps to explore a more effective teaching approach.
