Abstract


Traditional language teaching concept that the language is by a single word in series one by one in accordance with the rules of the language, and the vocabulary of emergence of new challenges to this traditional concept. Lexical Approach stressed language \This is the vocabulary the basic principles of the law, that word block more than the grammatical structure of language generation capacity. Structure early stage of development in language pedagogy been frequent use, too much emphasis on its knowledge of grammar often lead to the practical use of learners' language ability is low. In contrast, the communicative approach in recent years is more popular because of too much attention to the practical use of the language, to ignore the accuracy of the language toward the other extreme. From this perspective, the vocabulary method just to make up the structure of law and lack of communicative approach in the teaching process has paid attention to the grammatical structure but also focus on the use of language in a specific environment, and study the word block to improve learner output level (fluency and accuracy) play an important role. The purpose of this study is to explore the practical use of vocabulary in English class and its impact on students' output levels (because of certain constraints, only the effects of writing skills). In this paper, the Chongqing Three Gorges College English major freshman two natural classes (66) for the object, set the experimental group and the control group, the traditional vocabulary teaching methods of the control group, the Lexical Approach Teaching experimental group. In the present study, the focus of the Lexical Approach Teaching is taught in a variety of language teaching activities Chunk learning strategies to strengthen students' recognition, memory and the ability to use the word block. Experimental time for one semester. During the experiment, a writing test for the experimental tools using SPSS 13.0 analysis comparing the two groups with different teaching methods the writing score change, and use the correct word essay block volume changes. This experiment attempts to discuss the following issues: (1) whether the Lexical Approach Teaching can be more effective in improving student writing scores? (2) The Lexical Approach Teaching can be more effective in improving the students writing term block correctness? Experimental results show that, whether it is a proper use of the word average fraction of the amount of blocks or writing scores, the experimental group students were significantly higher than the control group. In addition, the experimental group students in an interview after learning diary during the end of the experiment show that the The Lexical Approach Teaching popular among students, the students finally found an effective way to improve the level of writing or speaking.
