Objective: To study mesenchymal stem cells (Mesenchymal Stem Cell, MSC) in vivo invasion and metastasis of colon cancer as well as pathways to provide a theoretical basis for a new therapeutic approach for the clinical application of mesenchymal stem cells as well as colon cancer . Methods: In this study, the colon cancer cell line planting made ??into nude mice tumor model , nude mice will be divided into a test group and the control group , the experimental group were given intravenous injection of mesenchymal stem cells , the control group was given a placebo , 15 days after tumor block remove the tumor mass volume and weight measured between the two groups ; paraffin mass of the tumor mass , with the SP method , RT-PCR determination of focal adhesion kinase (focal adhesion kinase, FAK) expression in the two groups , all data applications SPSS13.0 statistical software for statistical analysis . mRNA data to x ± s , t-test was used to compare between the two groups ; immunohistochemical results using X2 test , two-sided test , P lt ; 0.05 as statistically significant . Results: ( 1) the experimental group nude mice transplanted tumor volume (0.3428 ± 0.0874) and weight (0.4275 ± 0.0628) were less than the volume of the control group (0.5366 ± 0.0531) and weight ( 0.5923 ± 0.0611 ) , the difference was statistically significant (P lt; 0.01), mesenchymal stem cells in vivo can inhibit the growth of colon cancer cells . (2), FAK positive expression in the experimental group was 70% , the positive expression rate was lower than that in the control group was 90% , the difference was statistically significant ( P lt; 0.05 ) , mesenchymal stem cells in vivo can inhibit colon cancer cell invasion transfer. (3), FAKmRNA in the experimental group relative expression levels relative expression levels ( 0.66 ± 0.28 ) than the control group (0.32 ± 0.19) , the difference was statistically significant ( P lt; 0.05 ) , mesenchymal stem cells in vivo can inhibit colon cell invasion and metastasis . Conclusion: mesenchymal stem cells in nude mice by FAK signaling pathway to inhibit the growth of colon cancer xenografts , invasion and metastasis , mesenchymal stem cells have broad prospects in future clinical studies as well as cancer treatment .
