Abstract


This study aims to find high school English listening barriers and solutions. Through questionnaires for hearing impaired high school English stage were analyzed. Survey results show that hinder improving the level of high school English listening factors exist in four areas: language knowledge is weak, lack of background knowledge, lack of listening skills and anxiety. Meanwhile, most of the teachers lack effective teaching methods, students Listening tired. Survey shows high school for hearing-impaired and hearing problems in teaching, the author proposed five-step teaching method to help high school students improve their English listening ability of Teaching Reform and, through comparative experiments to validate the teaching methods effectiveness. Experiment lasted for four months. During the experiment, the experimental class using the five-step teaching English listening teaching, control classes continue to use traditional teaching. Experimental classes and control classes through horizontal comparison, as well as the history of the experimental class longitudinal comparison, from the questionnaire, pretest, posttest data collected indicate that the experimental class students in post-test scores than the control classes, students learn in listening interest and hearing abilities are significantly better than those classes, the obstacles that appear on the hearing experience rate is also greatly reduced, significantly lower than the comparison classes. Thus verified Five Steps Method for improving the effectiveness of high school English listening teaching effectiveness. This thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction. This chapter explains the importance of English listening, explains the basis for this research topic and significance. The second chapter is literature review. This chapter first introduces the theory of hearing, and then expounded the theoretical basis of this study, and finally an overview of domestic and foreign scholars in listening teaching research status quo. The third chapter analyzes the high school English hearing impairment, and in the detailed description of the five-step teaching in high school listening teaching. This chapter shows the results of the questionnaire before the experiment, and accordingly concluded that four kinds of high school English hearing. Then, the chapter details the five-step teaching high school English Listening Teaching in implementation steps: listening introduced complete breakdown listening task, check the feedback, hearing loss deepened, language output, and materials used in the experiments carried out for example, presentation. Chapter five-step teaching experiment recorded the whole process. This chapter explains the purpose of the experiment, subjects, experimental methods, experimental procedure, and the experimental data for the statistics and analysis. The fifth chapter summarizes the full text at the same time, obtained in high school English listening teaching can improve the use of five-step teaching high school English listening teaching effectiveness conclusions.
