From the establishment of the Republic of China to the outbreak of May 4th Movement of 1919,in this short period of ten years, a group of journalists active in our press. In the changing current situation in the Republic of China, they filled the enthusiasm to save the motherland, shoulder and carry the state’s justice and wrote lots of wonderful article. They condemn social currents, denounced the warlords. It is the first time in our news history that a journalist is so popular, and they pioneered a narrative theme of the proposed newsletter continues to this day. They are well-known journalist in the Republic of China, Huang Yuansheng, Shao Piaoping, Lin baishui, Xu Lingxiao, Liu shaoshao, Chang Chi-luan, Hu zhengzhi. Their news thoughts and newsletter are not only outstanding in their time of survival but also shining today.However, research on well-known journalists of the beginning period of Republic of China is still not enough, the Existing research is very fragmented and not systematic. This paper will study the well-known journalist in Republic of China as a whole, and to analyze their news ideas, and the newsletter’s characteristics. First, we will from the background、family environment、their own conditions of famous journalists at the beginning period of The Republic of China, to analyzes their road to fame. And then analyzed their capabilities on the press, journalists training, news, and press law and other aspects of the real point of view, to explore what quality should a journalist have. Finally, we will analysis of their newsletter form the subject, the form, and the language of their newsletter. Through these analyses, we believe that today’s journalists should learn the spirit of serving the country and Social responsibility from famous journalists at the beginning period of The Republic of China.
