Abstract

Since the discovery of carbon nanotubes , due to its excellent physical and chemical properties and get people attention. Among the many carbon sources to the polymer as a carbon source has its own characteristics and advantages. This paper mainly uses polymer / C2H2 double carbon by chemical vapor deposition synthesis of carbon nanotubes were studied . The main purpose is to improve the in situ synthesis of the polymer as a carbon nanotube low catalytic efficiency of the method , the drawbacks of poor quality carbon nanotubes . Studies have shown that : For some polymers, this method can not only keep in situ synthesized polymer is a carbon nanotube advantages, but also to compensate for the lack of use of the catalyst inefficient . Experimental results show that : in PP/C2H2 system and double carbon carbon double PA6/C2H2 system , the fixed ratio of the catalyst pellets in the corresponding experimental conditions can obtain high yield , excellent characteristics nanocarbon tube , under certain experimental conditions, the ball also get solid nano-carbon material composed of a sponge -like carbon , double spiral nanotubes and nanotube bundles ; the PS as a carbon source in a separate charring catalyst efficiency is very low when the basic fragmentation charcoal, adding C2H2 obtained after a large number of amorphous carbon and carbon fibers scarce . Therefore, in this experimental system can determine the PS unsuitable for preparing carbon nanotubes , more suitable part of the system as a dual carbon source .
