In today 's high-speed development of the society , especially in the oil, gas , coal and other traditional energy sources are depleted , the lithium-ion batteries , nickel metal hydride batteries , mercury-free alkaline manganese batteries , solar cells will be the 21st century 's most ideal green power , the battery industry, the energy industry will become the most promising ten pillar industries in the second . Lithium-ion batteries are mainly used in portable electronic products and medical instruments , high- energy , long life , no memory , no pollution is ranked in the forefront of the battery industry . In recent years , in order to achieve prolonged use , most of the small , lightweight target , the portable device using the high energy density of the lithium ion battery . However, the charging of the lithium ion battery , the charging current , the accuracy requirements of the charging voltage is high , and further, requires a subtle control of the temperature monitoring, the charging time, and when an abnormality protection , therefore , the charging circuit to keep the complicated , dedicated in the direction of development. Lithium battery protection chip is very great significance . The object of this study is one kind of 2-4 chip analog front-end protection of the lithium-ion battery . The chip and a power monitoring meter chips chipset for lithium battery packs provide complete monitoring and protection . Research ideas and work are as follows : First, the paper summarized overview of lithium battery development and Research , it is necessary to draw the lithium battery charging protection chip . Chip structure and function of the system analysis to determine the indicator of the design performance of the chip . Secondly, several sub- modules of the responsibility of the author's own analysis, design and simulation , the main charge pump module , LDO module , the overcurrent detection protection module , and the data input and output string conversion and string conversion module . Finally, the summary of the work in this article .
