Abstract

In the process of learning English , many learners anxiety troubled by psychological factors , especially learning . Xi'an, an ordinary college student , to the revised foreign language learning anxiety questionnaire research tool for statistical analysis of survey data using SPSS software , aimed at understanding the students' English Learning Anxiety , analysis of the characteristics of English learning anxiety explore English learning anxiety reasons for thinking English learning anxiety countermeasures , and provide the basis for the English teaching reform practice and guidance . The survey found that : ( 1 ) Most of the students' English learning anxiety in a moderate level , where the most severe test anxiety . ( 2 ) students' English learning anxiety in the grade , like English proficiency , disposition English scores CET by the situation , the degree of interaction between teachers and students of English class differences significant timing differences in gender , professional exposure to English is not significant . The anxiety more serious student groups include : freshman and senior students do not like the students to learn English , introverted students , students of English low achievers , four students did not pass the English classroom and teacher interaction less students. These students are the object of attention and focus of the intervention . ( 3 ) like English proficiency , English grades four through classroom interaction there is a close relationship of these four factors with English learning anxiety of the level , gender, grade , specialty , students ' exposure to English , the disposition of five factors has little to do with the anxiety . Further studies showed that the English scores are the most important factors that influence the level of students' English learning anxiety . (4 ) The anxiety level of students like English proficiency and English scores produce a certain degree of good or bad . Lower level of English learning anxiety , students tend to prefer English , English scores more inclined to excellent ; higher the anxiety level of English learning , more students tend to do not like the English ; English scores more likely poor . In view of these circumstances , we propose four strategies : ( 1 ) improvement of teaching methods to stimulate interest in learning ; ( 2) to carry out cooperative learning to improve the atmosphere in the classroom ; ( 3 ) to protect the students ' self-esteem , develop confidence in learning ; (4 ) psychological counseling to ease the pressure of examinations .
