Abstract


The city square concentrated reflection city history, the culture and the charm, was most important carrier of unfolding the city region culture characteristic. In recent years, our country has raised the city square construction upsurge, and is fruitful. But as a result of the globalization tide, it causes western culture intense impact us, causes each city the region culture characteristic to vanish slowly, between city and city also more and more similar, this question is day by day serious. With information being everywhere, we maybe should comprehend the region culture from a new direction. The city square design based on region culture is much more to be a method to create region characters than to form a style. The question the paper involves also is the question all characteristics city faces and needs solution similarly in our country.Therefore, during study, absorption world advanced culture science and technology, we also must pursue the protection, the regeneration and the creation of the region culture. In fact, we protect cultural the multiplicity the same as we highly pay attention to the protection biodiversity today whole world, it is the humanity own need to develop. Therefore, we should build the city squares which have the region culture characteristic, restores the square original significance, restores the square and the city, the region intrinsic logic relation; makes the city region culture characteristic centralize in the city square, becomes“the city symbol”. The paper embarks from the city square design, through theory summary, example analysis and design practice studies how to made the region culture to obtain inherits, continues and development in the city square design, and has obtained some beneficial research results, hope to had the certain reference value to the city square region culture characteristic design.
