In recent years, with further development of higher education system reform, enlargment of enrollment scale and higher education popularization, problems about specail student groups become more and more obvious, and finally can’t be ignored. Due to be weak in some aspects, so many special student groups are caused easily unusual in mind and behavious. Thus not only is undergraduates’ comprehensive ability is affected, but also the quality of higher education is. Meanwhile, those students with unsual mind and behavious also influence harmony, stability and development of university. It is urgent for higher education to solve problems about special student groups, which is also an important topic for harmony and development of university. So it is significant to strengthen research on special students groups and estblish sound ideological, political work mechanism of special student groups.Firstly, by refering to the defination of particular social groups from academic fields, this essay defines special undergraduate groups, expounds the significance of studying special undergraduate groups, particularly the significance of constructing harmonious campus.Secondly, basing on their real behavious and influencing factors in economic life, physical quality, mental status, study capability, various competition and so on, special students groups are classified, including poverty-stricken students, backward students, students with family problems, senile psycholphysiologic disorders and so on. The aim of this classification is to offer objective foundation for educationg those special students well, so that they can be out of the shadow as soon as possible, and work and study as normal people.Thirdly, the author analyzes and summarizes problems about sepcial undergraduate groups and its causes. Problems are from many aspects, including study, life, relationship, work, etc, and causes are from family, society, school and student themselves, etc.Finally, basing on the above analysis, the author puts forward ways to solve problems about special undergraduate groups, mainly including, establishing ideological and political work system accord with problems about special undergraduate groups, carrying out pertinent education methods well, building omnibearing education platform, setting an ideological and political work team with high quality and abundant knowledge.
